This was a wonderful vacation. Marsha really enjoyed Harry Potter's World even tho the Hogwart's Castle ride was closed. The cruise itself was our first on Celebrity in a number of years. The ice bar was the best bar at sea I have ever been at and it had nothing to do with the ice. The design made for a large central area. The bartenders always put on a show with a great sense of humor. Our service aboard was great: Cedomir our waiter, Santos our assistant waiter, Alex our sommelier and Maria the hostess made dining in the main dining room a pleasure. Our steward was Devendre and also did great. Shows were good with a group of 6 very good singers. However, the Beatles group was terrible. The guy that played Paul was either sick or just bad. While the specialty restaurants we tried were good we thought the Tuscan Grill was a bit pricey at $45. Murano at $50 was worth it. Our balcony cabin was larger with a sitting area and slightly bigger shower than a balcony on Princess. The internet was also the best we have seen at sea. The very few problems we had were in the buffet area and they were very minor issues. We didn't take any shore excursions on this trip. However on Barbados Marsha got a 1 day pass at Sandals Barbados. Like all the other Sandals resorts it was beautiful. Spacious rooms, large bathrooms, beautiful grounds and included food and drink. While the food isnt really gourmet it is very plentiful. We are very much looking forward to our Panama Canal Cruise on Celebrity Infiniti. |
