A Mexican Riviera cruise in October. We traveled with our friends Rick and Judy. |
||
  | Weather was warm and humid but no rain. In Puerto Vallarta we took a cab to the downtown Malecon area. We did a bit of window shopping and then went to Le Chata restaurant and had margeritas, chips, Guacamole and a wonderful Mexican Shrimp Cocktail. In Mazatlan it was an open air cab to the gold coast area. Freddie was our driver. He was very outgoing and gave us a small tour there and back. At the Playa Mazatlan we had margaritas, chips and Guacamole. We only had a short time in Cabo, the ship left at 2. We just went to the pier area, did some walking, found an air conditioned restaurant, Wizzies, and guess what? More margaritas and nachos. |

Aboard ship we had Javier and Gustavo, both from Mexico, as our waiters. They did a fabulous job. We ate at the new Share resturant and the Gastropub. Both were very, good but Share seemed a little pricey for what we got, $39. We did the Share connosieur wine tasting. It was great. A specially selected appetizer paired with each wine we had. The highlight was the $200 a bottle Barolo from Italy. We can wait for our next cruise in December although we are sad that Rick and Judy will not be going with us the Carribbean. |
