A ten day cruise over New Years.
This is the same cruise we took over last New Years. That was on the Majestic Princess this was on a very similar ship, Discovery Princess. We always enjoy sailing with our friends, Rick and Judy. Since we have been to all of these ports multiple times we really had a very relaxing cruise. Weather was awsome but we read about all the rain at home. In Puerto Vallarta we went on a Tequila Tasting to Dona Engracia's. Some pretty good Tequila. As for the ship overall it was very good. Most of the food was good and most of the service was great. We went to a 360 degree dining experience, Fantastic. In a room with 20 diners, 10 waiters and a guide. Surrounded by a 360 degree panorama of Mediterranean locations, Greece, Spain, Italy. They then featured a 7 course dinner with dishes from the region. This is still ina trial stage but I am sure will be featured soon. I really only had 2 negatives on the cruise. We had the drink pacakge but the ship was out of most of the premium wines by the glass. Selection was very limited. The other negative is that there were a large number of trainees on board. Patience was a virtue. |
