We went with Rick and Judy Kennedy, Paul and Sharon Whitlock and Gary and Kim Huber.
We had a great time and tasted some nice wines. The Allegreto Inn was very, very nice. The only problem was you had to drive to get anywhere ouside the Inn. We
would like to try the Paso Robles Inn one more time hoping they have fixed their issues. We could have walked to almost all of the restaurants. We had some wonderful food. We especially liked Paso Terra. Small, reasonably priced and very good food. I had Gazpacho and Sand Dabs Meuniere. Both delicious. The only restaurant I was disappointed in was Les Petites Canailies. My food was just soso. It was very expensive and very loud. The rest of the party seemed to enjoy the food more than I did. We did buy a lot of wine. We especially enjoyed the tastings at Booker and Justin. At Justin we had a very personable server and some very good wine. Booker had a beautiful tassting area and we took an elevator down to the cave to see the barrel aging. Cara was our hostess. At the same stop as Booker was My Favorite Neighbor tasting. They used many of the Booker facilities to make their wines. We ended up becoming wine club members here. |
